About Us

Temple Emanu-El now counts about 100 families as members, hosts a vibrant and inclusive Religious Montessori Preschool (Muss Family Montessori) and one of the city's most respected Hebrew Schools. We are proud of how each member brings his or her own story to our diverse community—such as those who have a multi-generational history at our congregation and those new to the city or Temple Emanu-El, of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community – a place to call home.

Learning

Our educational programs are first-class, with a Montessori PreSchool onsite, Hebrew School, B'nai Mitzvah training and robust Adult Education programs. Our goal is to provide for a lifetime of Jewish learning. We also host a sizable library, wherein our members may come and hang out or check out materials at no charge.

Prayer & Worship

We offer a dynamic blend of worship opportunities that span from the small and intimate to grand services incorporating music. Our main sanctuary, constructed in 1948, is on the National Register of Historic Places and provides a truly awe-inspiring space in which to practice Jewish ritual life.
